About Untold Journey
Founded in 2024, the Untold Journey Foundation was formed to become the premier retreat for East Coast SEAL Teams and Joint Inter-Agency Task Force Personnel to Triumph through Rediscovery, Unity, and Empowerment.
Untold Journey was the name of the American Hostage Rescue mission conducted in 2012 in Qarghah’i District of Laghman Province, Afghanistan, by the then ”New Gold 2-Troop”. The mission witnessed the death of Nic Checque and the rescue of American doctor Dilip Joseph. As a result, this mission became one of the most highly decorated Special Operations missions in United States history. 1 x Medal of Honor, 5 x Navy Cross, and many more.
