MISSION
RESTORING BROTHERHOOD
Untold Journey Foundation supports tier-one special operations veterans and their families through connection, purpose, and shared experiences—so those who carried the nation’s hardest missions never face the next chapter alone.
Vision
LONG LIVE THE BROTHERHOOD
Our vision is a future where the brotherhood forged in service does not end when the uniform comes off. Untold Journey Foundation is building a lasting community where tier-one veterans and their families can reconnect, rediscover purpose, and continue serving one another long after their time on the battlefield. Through dedicated programs, shared experiences, and a permanent home for this community, we aim to preserve the bonds of service and ensure that the warriors who carried the nation’s hardest missions never stand alone in the next chapter of life.
“Losing the Brotherhood was harder than combat”
1 in 5 tier-one veterans report that “losing the brotherhood” was the single hardest part of transition worse than combat trauma itself
These men have conducted more than 90% of America’s direct-action missions since 9/11, yet represent less than 1% of the total veteran population.
Average deployment tempo: 8–15 combat rotations (compared to 1–3 for conventional forces).
Honoring Brotherhood
Honoring the Legacy of Special Operators
In memory of Nic
Untold Journey is the name of the hostage rescue mission conducted in Afghanistan in 2012.
In the wake of Extortion 17—the single greatest loss of life in the history of Naval Special Warfare—DEVGRU formed a new unit known as “New Gold 2 Troop.” This troop was built with purpose, hand-selecting some of the most experienced and capable operators from across the squadrons of SEAL Team 6. These men came together not only to continue the fight, but to carry forward the legacy of the brothers they had lost.
Forged from tragedy and united by mission, this newly formed troop would go on to execute one of the most extraordinary Special Operations missions in United States history. The courage and heroism displayed during the mission resulted in the awarding of one Medal of Honor and five Navy Crosses, along with numerous other decorations for valor—making it one of the most highly decorated operations in modern Special Operations history.
Untold Journey Foundation exists to ensure the legacy of these warriors and their sacrifice is never forgotten, while continuing to support the Special Operations community and the families who stand beside them.
Who Do We Serve
Tier 1 Special Operations veterans and their families - the men who carried the weight of the mission for our nation, and the loved ones who carried that burden beside them.
These warriors come from a world defined by purpose, sacrifice, brotherhood, and service. When that chapter ends, many are left navigating transition, isolation, loss of identity, and the absence of the deep bonds that once defined everyday life.
Untold Journey Foundation exists to ensure they are not left to face that journey alone. We serve the operators who miss the brotherhood, the families who have stood through sacrifice in silence, and the warriors who need restoration, reconnection, and renewed purpose.
What Do We Do
Untold Journey Foundation supports elite Special Operations veterans and their families through three core pillars of impact:
Excursion Teams
We create high-adventure excursions and shared experiences that restore the camaraderie, challenge, and sense of mission many operators miss after service. These experiences are designed to reconnect warriors with the brotherhood that shaped them and remind them they are never alone.
The Compound
As the sister nonprofit to the **C4 Foundation**, we are building an East Coast-based retreat compound where operators and their families can step away from the pressures of everyday life and find rest, connection, and renewal. This sanctuary will serve as a place of healing, community, and long-term support.
Warrior Restoration
We provide direct support for the real-life needs operators and their families face. Through financial grants and individualized assistance, Warrior Restoration is designed to meet a broad range of needs—helping remove burdens, restore stability, and ensure no warrior is left without support.
Ethos/Pillars
Be Yourself. Be TRUE: Triumph through Rediscovery, Unity, and Empowerment. Strengthening our bonds with the esteemed community of Navy SEALs, Special Operations, and Other Agency Personnel. We are never out of the fight as we charge into the next chapter of our lives.
